PeerMark FAQs

If you would allow papers submitted after the due date to be reviewed by peers, make sure that the following two settings are selected.

On the Turnitin base paper assignment "Add/Modify Turnitin Assignment" page, expand "Optional Settings" and check Yes under "Allow submissions after the due date."

On the PeerMark assignment "Add/Modify Turnitin Assignment" page, under "Base Assignment," check the checkbox for "Allow papers submitted late to be included in peer review."

Now a paper submitted by a student to the base paper assignment  after the due date will be reviewed as long as a peer starts the review after the time of the late submission and before the due date of the PeerMark assignment.

You can only assign or modify a grade for the PeerMark assignment after the due date has passed. By then an "Edit Grade" link will appear after clicking "Show Details" for each of the reviews.

You could let PeerMark or yourself to assign grades, depending on the PeerMark assignment settings you choose.

On the "PeerMark Settings" page -

• If you want PeerMark automatically assign full points when a student completed a review, check the box for "Award full points if review is written." 

  

  A completed review should include answers to all the questions you added to the peer review criteria. If a student didn't answer all questions, or didn't start a review, a "0" grade will be assigned.  However, after the due date has passed, you can modify the grade if necessary.
• If you want to assign grades to the reviews yourself, you should not check the box for "Award full points if a review is written" on the assignment settings page.  

Note: the "Edit Grade" link will only appear after the due date has passed. You will be able to assign grades then.
