Dr. Fecri Karanki is an Assistant Professor of Aviation Management. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Transportation and Logistics, and his Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics from North Dakota State University. He also holds an MBA degree from Istanbul Technical University. Before joining York College, he served as an instructor for North Dakota State College of Science for three years. In addition to his academic works, he has twelve years of industry experience in supply chain management. His primary research areas of interest include air transportation economics, spatial economic analysis, aviation business models, and airport operations management. His research focuses on the vertical relationships between airports and airlines, airport spatial competition, cost and productivity efficiency of the air transportation industry, and air freight resilience.
