MS  Hofstra University  Healthcare Pedagogy and Leadership  2017-2019
BS  Hunter College  Clinical Laboratory Science  1986-1990
I recently began my life-long dream of teaching in a classroom setting at York College, the City University of New York. It is the pinnacle of my career as a trained and licensed medical technologist and a passionate educator for healthcare professionals. I feel honored and obligated to lead the students as they prepare for their professional career in the field of health sciences. It is not merely getting all the answers correct on the exam that matters or receiving the highest grade for the course that counts. What matters most is that students strive to push themselves to be better and by doing so can achieve even more than they ever thought they could. This field is constantly changing, and the future requires that new entrants to the field collaborate and innovate to find the better diagnosis and safer treatments for patients. As such, there is a dire need for the future of healthcare workers to possess a love for learning and a passion for the work.
