The CUNY Aviation Institute at York College must focus upon a number of complex issues because today's aviation industry is a complex matter. Simplistic approaches are not effective. Our partners contribute to a process aimed at changing cycles in employment, education, and industry. All facets of our community must have a stake in the process. Youth, government, community agencies and business are critical in formulating appropriate strategies both to enhance the community's overall situation.
CUNY Institute for Urban Systems
Transportation, water, energy & communication, these infrastructure systems have supported New York City's position as a world capital in business, media, and the arts.
Jamaica and South East Queens Community
Uniquely situated between the nation's two premier centers of aviation, NY's La Guardia and John F. Kennedy International Airports, the CUNY Aviation Institute at York College was designed to bring our community closer together.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
On April 30, 1921, The Port of New York Authority was established as the first of its kind in the Western Hemisphere and the first interstate agency created under a clause of the Constitution permitting compacts between states.
University Transportation Research Center
The Region 2 University Transportation Research Center is one of ten original National Centers, established in 1987 by the U.S. Congress, in recognition that transportation plays a key role in the nation's economy and in the quality of people's lives.
