Ms. Silva Sibilin’s research interests are in the areas of philosophy of education, teacher education, and integration of technology and AI into education. Her recent work as a Mellon Transformative Learning in the Humanities Fellow and as a CUNY Innovative Teaching Academy Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Fellow has focused on alternative grading methods and their impact on student motivation and learning. As a faculty participant in CUNY’s Computing Integrated Teacher Education initiative, she is working on a teaching artifact where her philosophy of education students evaluate ChatGPT in various educational roles.
