Lydia Peal, formerly known as Feafea Peal, is an experienced nurse practitioner and educator. With over a decade of clinical experience, she specializes in Med/Surg nursing, emergency room care, and Family and Women’s Health. Lydia holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Hunter College and Master's in Nursing from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. Lydia has been a faculty member at York College since 2014, beginning as an adjunct professor and later transitioning to a full-time Assistant Professor. She is deeply committed to educating future healthcare professionals and is passionate about fostering patient-centered care through her teaching. Lydia's areas of research include women's health, as well as policy, advocacy, and clinical practice for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder.
