I have three main areas of interest; (1) latitudinal gradients in plant traits related to biotic interactions, (2) seed banks and seed dispersal, and (3) invasive species. I am conducting studies examining latitudinal gradients in defenses against herbivores and competitive ability in common sunflowers across both its native (i.e. North American) and non-native (e.g. Australian) range.
