Margaret MacNeil, PhD, is a professor of Biology with expertise in comparative anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience. Her research centers on the testing and development of mitoprotective compounds to treat neurodegenerative conditions such as glaucoma and traumatic brain injury. Through her work, Dr. MacNeil seeks to advance understanding of cellular resilience and design innovative therapeutic approaches to combat these debilitating conditions.
