Patricia Milanes holds a Ph.D. in American literature from St. John's University and an M.A. in English literature from Hunter College. Her research in health humanities examines representations of illness, wellness, health, and healing in African American literature. A long-time member of the York community, Patricia teaches academic writing, literature, and theory courses. She also takes particular interest in mentoring students throughout their time at York.
