
Raquel Coy is a Lecturer in the English Department. She's taught a range of courses, but especially enjoys working with students in first-year composition (English 125 and English 126) and in the Student Writing Workshop (English 199a). She believes that writing is an invaluable tool that can foster critical thinking in students. Her teaching emphasizes multimodal composition, media literacy, and the connection between critical thinking and literature. She also serves as the Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) Coordinator for Assessment, supporting faculty across disciplines in writing pedagogy and program development. As a York College alumna, she is dedicated to fostering student success and contributing to the college community.
