Dr. Selena T. Rodgers - author, educator, mentor, researcher, servant leader – is Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Social Work. Additionally, she is the Founding Director and Program Chief Administrator of the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at CUNY York College, making her the inaugural leader of the first fully accredited graduate social work program in Queens County, New York. Dr. Rodgers is the first African American to hold this position in CUNY’s social work history. She also holds appointments as an Affiliate Professor in the PhD Social Welfare Program at the CUNY Graduate Center and as an alumna and evaluator for the U.S. Department of State Fulbright Specialist Program.
