Vivian Bearing, Ph.D., a renowned professor of English who has spent years studying and teaching the brilliant and difficult metaphysical sonnets of John Donne, has been diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. During the course of her illness, Vivian comes to reassess her life and her work with a profundity and humor that are transformative both for her and the audience.  Winner of the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Winner of the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Play. Margaret Edson creates a work that is as intellectually challenging as it is emotionally immediate.

The cast stars senior Theatre Arts major, Erica Jeudy, as Dr. Vivian Bearing, with York College students Sweta Amabi and James Pressey, along with 2022 York graduate, Georgios Messoloras, and featuring Dr. Jean Phelps, York College Director of Student Activities, Dr. E.M. Ashford.

Performances are held in the York College Science Building, Department of Nursing Simulation Lab, Rm. 102
