Academic Advisement Center Assessment

Mission

The mission of the Academic Advisement Center is to provide all incoming students support that empowers them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals. The Center provides proactive and intrusive academic advising and registration support to all undergraduate students that are not enrolled in special programs. We assist students in creating and executing educational plans, exploring their life and career aspirations, while promoting timely and successful completion of their undergraduate degree.

Goals

  • Engage students in an exploration of career goals and guide them through the process of major declaration and persist to on-time graduation.
  • Promote academic momentum and provide information on advisement programs, policies and resources.
  • Provide dedicated advisement to undeclared students.

The Academic Advisement Center Assessment Unit is part of the Academic Affairs Division.
