Mission

The mission of the York College Public Safety department is to foster a safe and secure environment that allows our students, faculty and staff to pursue their educational or professional objectives without fear of harm.

Goals

  • Enhance emergency prepardness on campus.
  • Facilitate safety training aimed at engaging with the campus community.
  • Provide professional development opportunities guidance, & support to our Public Safety team.
  • Uphold the six principles of the 21st Century Policing Model.

The Public Safety Assessment Unit is part of the Administrative Affairs Division.
