Yanike Williams Honored as Employee of the Month for Outstanding Service

Yanike Williams has been selected as the October 2025 Employee of the Month. She has been an integral part of the college community for 19 years, beginning her journey as a college assistant and growing into a highly respected and trusted member of the IT Department.

In addition to her technical role, Yanike is a dedicated contributor to the College’s Administrative, Educational, and Student Support Assessment Committee, where her insight and experience are greatly valued.

Throughout her years, Yanike has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, initiative, and reliability. Her colleagues vouch that  she is deeply engaged in all aspects of her work, often going above and beyond what is required, and is known for being a frequent, thoughtful, and solution-oriented contributor. Her service is marked by competence, confidence, and an unwavering can-do attitude.

Yanike’s willingness to support her peers, share her expertise, and mentor others has made her a go-to resource within her department and beyond. She stated, “Success is usually a shared achievement, built on collaboration, trust, and the collective effort of everyone working toward a common goal. I am grateful for the Information Technology department, led by Greg Vega, and the awesome team I get to work with every day.”

Her leadership abilities shine especially in her role on the Assessment Committee. Members apart of the committee let it be known that when the Committee Chair was absent, Yanike stepped in as interim Chair, providing steady guidance, facilitating productive discussions, and ensuring that the committee’s goals continued to move forward. She approaches leadership with humility, eagerness, and a genuine desire to help the college grow.

Yanike’s dedication, positive attitude, and remarkable work ethic exemplify the values of the college. We are proud to recognize her contributions and celebrate her as the October 2025 Employee of the Month.
