Steeping Memory: Plant Sharing Activity and Workshop with Eco-Artist Elizabeth Velazquez

Artist Shervone Neckles presents the first in a series of three Wellness Activities that accompany her exhibition, Steeping Memory. At this first activity, eco-artist and educator Elizabeth Velazquez will guide participants in an exploration of herbs like lemon balm, oregano brujo and mint. What you'll do: Participants learn simple methods to grow herbs for self-care and healing. Herb propagation demonstrations will be held at an activity station and participants will leave the activity with a small plant to care for, along with an accompanying zine containing herb information and recipes for teas and flavorings.
