BSSW Program
The undergraduate program in social work, which leads to a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in social work, prepares students for the beginning level of professional social work practice and for graduate school. The curriculum provides students with a solid liberal arts foundation and a generalist social work education, including professionally supervised training in agencies.
The program fulfills the requirements of the New York State Department of Education and is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education; graduates may apply for advanced standing in a graduate program in social work.
All social work majors must complete required support and social work courses. No credit for life experience will be given for the required social work courses.
