Viewing and grading students' participation in a discussion forum. If you want to interact with students on the discussion forums before the due date, click on the discussion board link on the course menu. Click on the discussion forum name to review and provide feedback to students' posts. When the due date for the discussion forum assignment has passed and it's time to grade, in your course management section, the home office, go to the full grade center and find the forum column. Do you see the yellow exclamation marks in the cells? They indicate that students have submitted their assignments. Here is how you can view and grade them. Move your cursor anywhere in a cell with an exclamation mark and click on the hidden action button that will appear. Select grade user activity and use the panel on the right to grade and leave feedback. When finished, click on submit, then use the arrows on both sides of the student name in that panel to view and grade the assignment of the next or previous student.
