York College Thurgood Marshall College Fund

Leadership Programs

These college leadership programs empower underrepresented students through mentorship, professional development, career readiness, and advocacy, fostering leadership, education access, and economic opportunity for college success, careers, and community impact.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF)

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), named after the U.S. Supreme Court’s first African American Justice, Thurgood Marshall, is the only national organization supporting the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Since its inception in 1987, TMCF has helped students acquire a high-quality college education at an affordable cost, develop leaders of tomorrow, and connect high-performing students with top-tier employment opportunities. To date, TMCF has awarded over $250 million in assistance to its students and member-schools.

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)

HACU, representing over 470 colleges and universities committed to Hispanic higher education success in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Spain, is the only national educational association that represents Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). Though our member institutions in the U.S. account for only 10% of all higher education institutions nationwide, they collectively house over two-thirds of all Hispanic college students.
