Frank Pomilla Award for Science Teaching Excellence
Dr. Frank Pomilla, Emeritus Professor of Physics, was a founding member of York College. He was the first chair of the original Department of National Sciences. Professor Pomilla retired from York in 1992.
The Professor Frank Pomilla Award for Science Teaching was established in honor of Dr. Pomilla’s love and dedication to York College and its students.
The award will provide financial aid to a rising senior who is recognized for academic excellence as well as their commitment to teach science, especially physics
