NSO Registration

Welcome, Cardinal!

Welcome to York College of the City University of New York (CUNY).

As an incoming first-year, transfer, and international student, you must satisfy several requirements before you can begin classes.

The New Student Orientation (NSO) is an event designed to introduce you to the academic, cultural and social aspects of student life at York College. The NSO will provide the opportunity to register for courses and get the tools necessary for your success. You will also learn about various educational opportunities, how to access our services and resources, and your responsibilities as a student. Finally, you will meet other Cardinals and members of the York College family. NSO begins with a general assembly. However, in order to disseminate the appropriate information for each of our cohorts that will be in attendance, there are separate sessions for first-year, transfer students and parents.

As partners in your success, the professionals within the Division of Student Development are here to help you succeed. Transitioning into college may be a challenge for anyone and meeting those challenges need not be a solitary experience. We are here to help you successfully navigate this new terrain.

Before You Register for Classes

New York State Public Health Law 2165 and 2167, and Title 10 New York Codes, Rules, and Regulations Subpart 66-2 (10 NYCRR Subpart 66-2) mandate that all incoming students born after December 31, 1956, must be immunized against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) before registering for classes.

For details, go to: https://www.york.cuny.edu/student-development/health/immunization-information-1.

After You Register

Activate your Yorkmail Email Account

Your Yorkmail email is the primary mode of communication between the college and you. From time to time, York will send you alerts about your bill and other pertinent information that will aid in your transition to the college. To find out how to activate your Yorkmail, please go to https://www.york.cuny.edu/it/webteam/live.

Review and Pay Your Bill

Your tuition due date is based on the date you initially registered for classes. To check the status of your balance, please refer to your CUNYfirst account. To find out when your bill is due for the Fall 2017 semester, please see deadlines here: https://www.york.cuny.edu/bursar/payment-due-dates0

IMPORTANT: To be eligible for New York State tuition and fees, you may be required to prove New York state residency. If there is a question regarding you N.Y. state residency and you wish to be charged in-state rates, you must complete a CUNY Residency form. The information you provide will determine if you meet the guidelines set by the City University of New York (CUNY). Failure to provide the required documentation will result in your being billed as a non-resident. Incomplete applications or missing documents will delay the processing of the application.
