Part-Time TAP (New York State)

Part-Time TAP is a New York State program that provides partial Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) payments to eligible students enrolled in 3–11 credits.

To apply, students must complete:

• The FAFSA
• The TAP application

Eligibility Requirements

To receive Part-Time TAP, students must:

• Be a New York State resident
• Be admitted into a degree program
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
• Register for at least 3 credits but fewer than 12 credits
• Maintain good academic standing
• Meet income eligibility guidelines established by the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC)

Application Deadline

• Students must apply for the award by June 30th each year through the Higher Education Service website.
